WOW MOMENTS 4 sure!!
Hey yall, i just felt the need to share a few wow moments with y'all, because these moments have DEFINATELY left me sayin' "wow" .. .LOL
1st off, the other day I went to the endocrinologist and they checked my cholesterol, the last time I heard my cholesterol before surgery it was 331 *danerous I know* the results from last week was 197...WHAT?!?! NORMAL you say...Yep, I could not believe it, my cholesterol really good!!
YESTERDAY we went to the Craven County fair, mind you I had a bad experience in 2000, with having to get off of a roller coaster at Busch Gardens, cuz my booty wouldn't fit along with the pull down restraints and my thighs were too big *Talk about traumatizing* well I decided to brave going up to a ride that basically fell out of the sky...LOL I asked the operator if I was too big, he looked and me a little weird and said No your good!!! So i go to sit in the little seat that contours to your booty and legs, pull down the overhead thing and I FREAKIN' FIT...comfortably with some room!!! REALLY?!?! That is crazy!!! I guess I thought I would never be able to ride rides again!! Then if yall know about the rides, I also sat in the zipper and the door closed just fine...again, what the heck was I worried about?!?! I Got to ride rides with my 8 year old son for the first time EVER!!!!
Because I rode almost EVERY SINGLE ride at that fair, with NO WORRIES of getting stuck or having to get off!!! If that is not a WOW moment, I don't know what is!!
Oh and then hearing my husband, calling me "little" and "skinny" YIKES!!! First off I keep telling him to never put "skinny" associated with ME!! But he says " you are" Hmmm? .. and one of my friends also said the same thing!!
It is just an unreal feeling at this point in my journey to have people call me "little" and "skinny" and be able to fit in little butt contoured seats!!!
WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT THE HECK HAVE YOU DONE WITH JAMI??? lol
But I kind of like it
Oh and 1 more and I promise I am done gloating...LOL
I can now comfortably fit in 1X shirts, versus the 4X shirts that I wore before!!! UNREAL!!
But for those of you that made it through my wow moments, THANK YOU!!! What an amazing feeling!!!
**EDIT** Oh and I forgot to mention that I feel like I got run over by a MAC Truck this morning...LOL MY body is not used to the force and clenching that comes with amusement rides..hehehe
I can relate to the ride problems at the fair! My surgery is this Monday. I went to the NC State fair on Sunday. I can't fit on any rides comfortably, I did go on the Himalaya with my daughter and the bar mashed my stomach so hard that it left a bruise and I couldn't enjoy the ride. No one in my family knows because I told them I felt sick after the ride and couldn't go on anymore. The truth was that I just did not want to be embarrassed! My husband thinks I can ride anything they can ride, he has no clue how small the ride seats are. I can't wait for next year! I can ride everything! I also sat and watched my husband climb the rock wall. I told him that next year I will race him to the top...
Hi Jami,
Congratulations!!!!! While the scale is definitely one way to measure our success, the quality of life changes and health benefits you are experiencing tell the 'real' story.
Wishing you continued success,
Barb
